Shigeru HAGIYA's exhibition

At those days

In those days the sky was far larger and the clouds were floating far higher in the sky than now.
The air was clearer and a day was far longer.
I always could smell the rice fields and hear the river flown.

I used to enjoy myself playing in the field during the wonderful summer vacation. As I got tired in the afternoon, I would take a nap in the house with its windows fully open. I fell asleep while hearing chirps of cicadas and familiar voices of friends.
I would feel the wind blowing pleasantly.

Time passed more slowly and was endless in those days.
Taking photographs is to memorize the sense in those days that is fading away in myself forever.
